HI, IM RHONA

I was admitted to the Jamaican Bar in 2010 and have since gained extensive experience in various areas of law, including general civil and matrimonial matters, criminal and human rights litigation, labour law, and corporate law. Throughout my career, I have appeared in the Coroner’s, Parish, and Supreme Courts, as well as the Court of Appeal and the Industrial Disputes Tribunal, honing my skills and amassing significant knowledge in these areas.

In addition to my legal practice, I have always been passionate about giving back to the community, mainly driven by my humble beginnings. I actively contribute to the community through initiatives such as annual elderly food drives and providing scholarship and grant opportunities to young ladies from Holy Childhood High School and other educational institutions. Furthermore, over the years, I have dedicated my knowledge and expertise by serving on the Boards of Management for the National Youth Service, Eltham High School, and the Building Appeal Tribunal, where I have made valuable contributions.

Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for corporate law. I have actively pursued opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills in this field, taking on senior leadership roles, serving as a company secretary, and holding director positions. I have also conducted trainings and workshops to companies and universities to make the complex and often intimidating aspects of corporate law accessible and understandable.

My ultimate goal has always been to demystify the “un-sexy,” boring, scary, and overwhelming aspects of the legal field, particularly in corporate law. I strive to provide accessible and understandable legal guidance, empowering individuals and organizations to navigate the intricacies of the law with confidence and ease.

It is my tiny way of helping you to “mind your business” 😊

Rhona.
